Gotta ReRead! Seven Years To Sin by Sylvia Day

I am absolutely, positively obsessed with Sylvia Day’s inspiring regency romances ... so obsessed! Seven Years To Sin is undoubtedly one of the best historical romances I've ever read! Truly Extraordinary!

I am madly in love with Alistair Caulfield. Madly! Every single thing about him is devastatingly delicious! All that he endures and suffers through is so admirable and maddeningly heroic, but it's his unyielding, unapologetic passion for Jessica that is magically spellbinding! Alistair is truly the stuff of every woman’s fantasies!

This story grips my heart like no other.

I honestly read and reread this book many times a year, actually every year since it was released. I can't ever get enough! Maybe it's the dreamy longing they have for each other when they were young. Maybe it's the fortuitous fate that brings them together seven years later. Maybe it's the way Alistair lives his life knowing and believing that he will be united with Jessica someday, no matter how long he must wait,
even if it's a lifetime. Maybe it's the insatiable, erotic passion that draws them together and pulls at their hearts. Maybe it's how they are so amazing on the outside, by all appearances, but so imperfect and so broken on the inside. Maybe it's just how they are so right together, and so good for each other in every way.  Whatever the reason that I'm irrevocably addicted to their story, and there's too many to count, I love this book with every ounce of my being!

Lady Tarley, Jessica Sheffield Sinclair is undeniably perfect ... statuesque, refined, educated and beautiful, but at a great personal cost. She's betrothed, a match made by her father, but one that she accepts as her duty. Her husband is by all accounts a good, kind and handsome man, but Jess wants more ... a man who will treat her like a wife in public and a mistress in the bedroom.

One chance encounter in the gardens at dawn shows her what she truly craves, what she desperately desires and that's in the sapphire bright, mesmerizing gaze of Alistair Caulfield as he commands her to stay to watch his indiscretions in the gazebo. Jess’s life changed forever on that night ... she’s left a big secret part of her soul with that handsome rake.

Years later, now a widow, and set adrift to the sea of money hungry Lords, she desires to be independent, useful and knowledgeable in the ways of business. Jess sets sail for her property in Jamaica to start her new life, but never dreamed she'd find the one man who still haunts her heart and fuels her passionate dreams every night.

Alistair Caulfield has always been woefully underestimated in all aspects of his life. He’s the fourth born bastard son to a very wealthy Lord, that has been his mother’s painful secret all his life, but he is the one who has paid for it dearly. Everything he has accomplished, bought, and achieved is all on his own merits.

Since he was born with exceptional good looks and legendarily endowed, he has used all the gifts bestowed upon him to make the ladies of the ton very satisfied ... for a price. He is a man who will do anything, say anything, and take any wager to achieve wealth, prosperity and the love of his life, Jessica Sheffield Sinclair, the recently widowed Lady Tarley. But the fates are playing a joke on Alistair ... he is now involuntarily thrust into the society he detests and must now play a role to appease his mother, the family line and The Ton, but at what unimaginable sacrifice.

Jessica and Alistair have a fiery clandestine romance on the ship to Jamaica, but wading the murky, judgmental waters of the ton society is whole new level of polite games and deceptive politics as both Jessica and Alistair come to grips with the intensity of their fierce love for each other and the harsh realities of how they can be together forever. Many obligations stand in their way, but nothing will ever cool their ardor ... Can they trust their love is strong enough to weather the storms ahead?

Brilliant story, Brilliant characters and Brilliant feels on every single page!!

Most people know Sylvia Day’s books from her contemporary series, but even if you don't think you'd like Regency Romance, give this book a shot ... I promise it will be worth every minute you spend in it fully engaged, absorbed and emotionally invested in Jessica and Alistair’s memorable story!

Now, let me just add ... If, and that's a big IF, Sylvia Day ever, ever reads this post ... I would love to leave this heartfelt pleading sentiment ...

Please, please, please write a sequel to this book!! I need to know more!

I desperately want to know how Jessica’s sister, Hester and the wonderful Michael Sinclair get their HEA, and I would love, love, love to see Jessica and Alistair get their “miracle” when they take their belated second honeymoon to Jamaica.
Maybe it can be called “Seven Years To Heal” and it can be half Jessica's future story and half Hester’s love affair ... pretty please?! I really really love Jessica and Alistair, so much, and I would love to see them get everything they've ever dreamed of!

Ok ... now that that's out of my system, hahaha ...

I can't recommend this book highly enough or give it too many stars ... so to all of you romance readers who love to fall in love with the hero, Alistair Caulfield is phenomenal, a cut above ... as heart-melting as he is panty-melting!!

It's such an amazing read!!

Throw Back Book Fave!! In The Flesh by Sylvia Day

Have you ever opened a book and was instantly and ecstatically transported in to a whole new world? This is that story for me.

In The Flesh by Sylvia Day (writing as Livia Dare) captured all my attention, all my imagination, and my whole heart, the minute I opened it! A compellingly fascinating sci/fi erotic fantasy, that swirlingly encapsulated me in a thrilling, sexy and heartwarming romance like no other! I am absolutely in love with these two characters, Sapphire and Wulf ... they're connection and attraction is magically, spark-flying electric!

All of the futuristic, other-worldly places, all the action packed suspense, and all the sexiness that's so edgy and erotic, just blew me away with magnificent feels on every level! This is one of the books I go back to over and over when I need a pure fantastical steamy romance to fill up my dreamy fantasies with heart throbbing, sigh-worthy reading bliss!

This erotically engaging story of two kingdoms, battling each other for independence and highly prized resources, find the two Royals now also fighting for control of a treasured concubine as well ... Sapphire and Wulf find themselves in a perilous journey to happiness. It's a scandalously forbidden love, a desperately addictive love and an unselfishly besotted love that is worth all their pain and heartache to protect and to keep. Can an infamous professional concubine from common origins win the heart of the handsome warrior prince, without their countries going to war all over again?

"I've risked my life to keep you" she said.
"I've risked mine to stay..." - Wulf

The King of Sari desires only his concubine Sapphire, to the utter abhorrence to the Queen, who then retires and banishes her away from the palace. When Sapphire gets to her new home with her fourteen man-servants, to her utter shock and awe, she finds an unexpected gift from the Queen. It's Prince Wulfric of D'Ashier, her country's enemy, in her healing chamber barely alive. She finally regains her freedom from her loveless concubine contract, and now only to die at the hands of the most wondrous, magnificent specimen of a man she has ever seen!

Wulf met her dark eyes with a raised brow, "So intimate an introduction should be preceded by a kiss, don't you think?"

"What a lovely idea" - Sapphire

Wulfric stands in the healing chamber and prays for death after the torture he's just endured at the hands of an enemy, when he looks up and sees a vision of pure beauty pressing herself on the glass, her pure desire willing him to live. The prince has found his resplendent miracle and will make sure she is by his side forever, no matter the consequences to his kingdom or his heart. She is no longer the King of Sari's special favored concubine, or General Erikson's spirited brilliant daughter ... No, Sapphire is Wulf's Katie, the one and only true love of his existence, and Wulf will put his life and crown on the line to have her forever!

"My prince." She said. The sight of her made his chest ache.
"I'm all yours."

"Never forget that."
In the simulated torchlight, her dark eyes glittered up at him.
"You captured me," she purred. "Stole me. Naked."
"I'd do it again..." - Wulf and Katie

A Sensually Scintillating Swoon-worthy Must Read! 5 STARS!!

November 23, 2014 - "Captivated By You," Crossfire Series Book 4, by Sylvia Day

"You're the reason I breathe, I can't turn it off." - Gideon Cross

"Captivated By You," Crossfire Series Book 4, by Sylvia Day, made my heart squeeze! Right from the first few paragraphs, I felt Gideon's love for Eva. "Captivated By You," is my favorite book in this series so far.

Gideon and Eva sent my hopeless romantic dreams soaring as they fight for their love!  Gideon is magnetic and enthralling while Eva is beautifully strong and sexy. They are a perfect storm of intense passion and intrigue. How they are overcoming their pasts and present obstacles makes me sigh and cheer for them both. Without all that friction, you can't make fire!

Just thinking about the last few chapters gets me all choked up. I am a messy crier...

Every time I  read this book, all I kept saying over and over was..."WOW! This love story keeps getting hotter and hotter!"

All of the twists and turns, ins and outs, and the ups and downs of Eva and Gideon's relationship keeps me crazy excited and panicked all at once. I never saw all the selfish people coming against them so hard. I truly love all the surprises around every corner just when I got settled thinking all would finally be happy between them!

I love the writing from mostly Gideon's perspective and it lets his personality and passion shine. He can be romantic and sensitive, then protective and dominating.  His motivation in all that he does comes from his heart.

I so get into the push and pull of Eva and Gideon's relationship. As I read, I would get so angry at all the old threats still trying to break them apart, but then I was shocked at all the new dangers threatening them.

I had spent three days rereading all the Crossfire books in anticipation of "Captivated By You," even "Seven Years To Sin." I truly did not want to miss one little moment so I could completely immerse in Cross' world. I cried when Gideon cried and rejoiced when he finally had an his amazing breakthrough. He is so sweet to his sister too! I am emotionally drained!

So I must be insane because I keep rereading these books over and over! Thank You Sylvia Day for such a rush! Thank you for keeping Gideon and Eva's story alive with the next book (coming soon I hope)! Well, as Gideon says, "Crossfire."

All books are a bit magical to me because I get sucked into the story worlds I'm reading like I'm the main heroine. This book made me time travel. I started on page one and, next thing I know  it's the last page and it's dark outside! I love it when a story sweeps me off my feet!

All of you who have not read of any of these Crossfire Books (I'm thinking are few of you left?), give yourself a gift for the holidays and get them today. Gideon is a sweet hot billionaire, I cannot get enough of! Crazy Good Reading!!

The Crossfire series includes:

"Bared To You"
"Reflected In You"
"Entwined With You"
"Captivated By You"

If you are extra special good to yourself, you'll buy Sylvia Day's book 'Seven Years To Sin" too.
